The Tongue-eating Louse is a parasite from Californian waters that enters a host fish’s body through the gills, then sucks blood from the hosts’ tongue until it atrophies away. In replacement of this shrunken appendage, the kind hearted parasite attaches itself to the stub & acts as the fishes’ new tongue, til death do they part.
